Welcome to Slowness

An old guesthouse and a communal kitchen, restored into an elegant countryside retreat, inspired by Israel’s early slow-down hotels.
In Kibbutz Moran, in the Galilee, we practice understated elegance and conscientious hospitality.

A home for the things we love.

"There is a secret bond between slowness and memory,
between speed and forgetting. The degree of slowness is directly
proportional to the intensity of memory, the degree of speed is directly
proportional to the intensity of forgetting.”

-- Milan Kundera

30 rooms, a comfortable bed,
and a large window

Our rooms are spread across six low buildings, within a natural woodland. Each has a wide, comfortable bed with soft cotton sheets and a large window that brings the outdoors in.

Things We Love

We curate products from local makers. Wine, olive oil, jams and cheeses, seasonal fruits and vegetables, organic cosmetics, and beautiful objects: handcrafted works, art, and even books.

Alongside them are good things and products we make ourselves. The selection changes with the seasons, and with the people who grow, create, and work here.

Arts, Movement, Healing.
Come Together.

Art is central to Slowness. You’ll encounter it in the rooms and shared spaces, as well as in occasional performances and workshops.

In the art room next to the restaurant, you’re also invited to create for yourself, whenever you feel like it, the drawers are already filled with materials.

In our treatment room, you can book treatments with local practitioners.
